Tributes are flooding in for a beloved NSW midwife who was tragically found dead alongside a family friend in a mysterious case police are continuing to look into.
Police found Carolyn Campbell, 61, dead in her home on South Boambee Rd in the Coffs Harbour suburb of Boambee about 5.15pm last Friday.
Also in the house was the body of a man, aged in his 60s.
Campbell was living with her husband, while the deceased man was a visiting family friend who had been staying for several days, NSW Police said.
It is not yet clear how the pair died, but police confirmed no one else was involved, and there was no threat to the local community.
The passing of Campbell has shocked the midwifery community.
A colleague has since shared a heartfelt tribute to her “work wifey” online.
