Flagstaff residents can attend a free preview of part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade next week as Northern Arizona University’s (NAU) marching band performs its routine in a send-off at Buffalo Park.

The Lumberjack Marching Band will be using a park’s trail as a parade practice route, playing songs inspired by New York City and the Route 66 centennial as members march in full uniform. The free performance will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
