WASHINGTON — On a quiet Tuesday morning, Tyler and Malia Stewart did what many couples do daily in the DMV; they headed to the Metro.
What made this so special and so different: they had just gotten married.
Tyler in his tux, Malia in her white dress, they headed from the National Cathedral to their home station in Cleveland Park, turning an ordinary Red Line commute into a rolling celebration.
“So, as we were planning this photo shoot with our photographer, I told her right away that I wanted to somehow make Metro a part of it,” Tyler said. “That’s how we go to the bar, how we go to restaurants, we do our shopping. It’s always been special since we moved here… we’ve kind of grown and gone on our dates and grown as a couple really through the Metro.”
