An award-winning Edinburgh bar has recently added a new accolade to its list, after it was officially named the number-one bar in the world in the 2025 Top 500 Bars list.

Popular speakeasy spot Panda & Sons, located on the capital's Queen Street, was honoured in a ceremony in Florence, Italy, on Thursday night, as the global bar community gathered to celebrate the very best in hospitality.

Bartender Iain McPherson founded Panda & Sons, which is hidden behind the façade of a vintage barber shop, in 2013.

It has since enjoyed worldwide acclaim for pioneering sub-zero serving techniques, flavour preservation and creative storytelling through cocktails.
