Police have shut a road and taped off a town centre roundabout. Officers are currently at the scene in Biddulph near to the town's Sainsbury's store.

The roundabout between Wharf Road and South View has been completely taped off. As it stands Wharf Road has also been closed from its junction with Meadows Way up to that roundabout.

The ongoing closure means shoppers are unable to access Sainsbury's' main car park - but the store remains open. It's understood there has been a collision.
