The Delhi High Court on Friday remarked that it does not want the proceedings in the case filed by actor Karisma Kapoor’s children against their stepmother Priya Sachdev Kapur for a share in their late father Sunjay Kapur’s estate to be “melodramatic”.
“I don’t want this hearing to be melodramatic,” Justice Jyoti Singh remarked.
The judge made the remark after Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani , appearing for Karisma Kapoor’s children, alleged that the actress' daughter is studying in a US university and her fees have not been paid for two months.
Jethmalani said that as part of the matrimonial decree, Sunjay Kapur was to pay for the children’s studies and expenses.
“The children’s estate is with Defendant No.1 [Priya Kapur].
