GROVE CITY, Pa. - A plea deal has been offered to a former Grove City Community Library director who was accused of stealing approximately $26,000 from the institution.
Mercer County District Attorney Peter Acker tells 21 News that a plea deal was offered for former library director Amy Gallagher, who is charged with felony counts of theft by unlawful taking, as well as misdemeanor counts of tampering with records.
Acker says Gallagher has not entered or accepted the plea deal at this time. If she does not accept it, Gallagher will go on trial on Monday, November 17.
Gallagher was charged in 2023 in connection with approximately $26,000 that she had allegedly stolen from the institution in 2020.
