High pressure will bring fair weather and normal temperatures to central Pennsylvania today before conditions deteriorate this weekend.
Rain could move into the region Saturday afternoon, with gusty thunderstorms possible Saturday night.
A significant weather pattern change arrives Sunday as a cold front pushes through the area overnight Saturday. Northwest winds will increase dramatically Sunday, with gusts potentially reaching 30 to 40 mph.
Lake effect snow showers are expected Sunday into Monday, with accumulations possible in snowbelt regions, ridgetops and summits along the Allegheny Plateau.
