SEPTA finishing up inspections on last Silverliner IV cars after multiple fires

The last few Silverliner IV railcars on SEPTA Regional Rail are being inspected Friday, meeting an extended deadline to inspect the entire fleet. The Federal Railroad Administration ordered SEPTA to inspect the cars after multiple fires in recent months. Though the inspections will be completed on time, several cars will need work and won't be back in commission until much later.
