NEW DELHI: Celebrations erupted at the Delhi BJP headquarters on Friday as the BJP-led NDA swept the Bihar Assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a high-energy entry amid loud chants and applause from party workers. Wearing a scarf and waving a gamcha (a type of cloth piece), the prime minister greeted supporters as he reached the party office to mark the victory and address workers. Chants of “Modi, Modi” filled the air as he stepped inside, acknowledging the crowd with repeated waves of the gamcha. Later, on stage, he made a simlar waving motion with his scarf. NDA marked a major victory, with the alliance poised to cross the 200-seat mark in the Bihar Assembly elections, while the opposition Mahagathbandhan delivered a disappointing performance.
