Republican Katherine Robertson got another major endorsement Wednesday in her bid to be the state’s next attorney general.

The Alabama Forestry Association put its support behind her in the contest with former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey.

“I have known Katherine since early on in her career when she worked with Senator Sessions and over the course of that friendship, I have come to deeply respect her intellect and tenacity and commitment to the integrity of the values she learned from growing up in rural Alabama,” said AFA President Chris Isaacson. Robertson has been current AG Steve Marshall’s chief counsel since 2017.
