French police have immobilized a man wielding a knife at Montparnasse train station in Paris on Friday, according to the Paris prosecutor's office.
According to Reuters , the prosecutor's office said in a statement that a police officer used his "weapon" on the male suspect, who was allegedly known to police for domestic violence, per the prosecutor's office. The suspect then inflicted knife wounds on himself. French media outlets have reported at least one gunshot was heard.
