EUCLID, Ohio — Cleveland South legend Jonathan Burge has coached at the college and AAU levels, but he has not had a high school program of his own until now.
Burge, who graduated from South in 1999 and was a two-time Plain Dealer scoring champ, is now leading Andrews Osborne Academy. And he is not bashful about his expectations for his team.
“The expectation right now for us is high,” he said Saturday at the NEO Sports Plant in Euclid. “But like I tell the guys, we haven’t done anything yet. All we are is a good team with our numbers. So, we’ve got good numbers, but we’ve got to prove ourselves when the ball goes in there.”
