Missouri Southern State University's chances at the MIAA conference tournament were wiped away by its rival Thursday after being swept by Pittsburg State University at John Lance Arena in Pittsburg, Kansas, by set scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 28-26.
The Lions were hanging onto slim hopes of reaching the conference tournament with two wins this week to try and overtake Fort Hays State University for the eighth and final spot. But, after falling in three straight sets to the Gorillas, those chances are no more. ×
