Mumbai: Late Zarine Khan’s daughter, Farah Khan Ali slammed media for focusing and questioning her mother’s cremation as per Hindu rituals.

Zarine passed away on November 7, and her last rites were performed by her son, Zayed Khan as per Hindu traditions. Since she was married to actor Sanjay Khan, who hailed from a Muslim family, her cremation as per Hindu customs left tongues wagging. ADVERTISEMENT

Voicing concern over public scrutiny of her mother’s last rites, Farah urged sensitivity and respect for grieving families. “My mother passed away six days ago, and there were some who were more interested in why she chose to be cremated instead of offering condolences.
