When he learned that he was named Most Valuable Player of the National League on Thursday evening, Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani celebrated.

Ohtani earned the award by a unanimous decision for the fourth time in his MLB career. He now owns the second-most MVP wins in MLB history. He learned the news while at home with his loved ones, who clapped and cheered for him during the announcement.

The Japanese-born superstar hugged his wife, Mamiko Tanaka. Some fans may have expected a celebratory kiss, too, though Ohtani may not love publicly showing affection. Ohtani is a very private person who did not originally disclose the identity of his wife after they married.

While he did not kiss his wife, Ohtani did share a cute kiss with his adorable and beloved dog Decoy.

It was the third year in a row Decoy sat with Ohtani during the MVP ceremony.

Meanwhile, when Aaron Judge learned he won MVP, his two dogs were also the stars of the interview.
