The San Francisco 49ers have received some very positive injury news entering a Week 11 clash with NFC West divisional rival Arizona.

Fans will be ecstatic to learn that the news has officially broken that quarterback Brock Purdy will return to the starting role at signal caller for the 49ers this weekend after missing six games due to injury. Purdy has only played twice this season for the 49ers and hasn't seen the field since September 28 in a loss to the Jaguars – he threw for 586 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions in his two games this year, but has helped lead San Francisco to two postseason appearances in his three full seasons with the franchise and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2023.

"Obviously, it took six games, sadly, on the second side of things, after re-aggravating it. But I want to be smart about this with my career and everything. But at the same time, I'm ready to roll. We got seven games ahead of us that I'm really excited about," Purdy said.

The 49ers will also get wide receiver Ricky Pearsall back from injury. Pearsall has also been missing in action since the team's September 28 loss to the Jaguars, and will be a key target for Purdy to have back – in his four appearances this season, the second-year NFL star has recorded two games with 100-or-more receiving yards. He finished his rookie season with 400 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2024.

With these two crucial weapons back on the gridiron, 49ers fans will have to like their team's chances this weekend. The 49ers and Cardinals are set to clash on Sunday at 4:05 PM EST – San Francisco earned a 16-15 victory in their first meeting this season.
