As the evenings darken and the mercury drops, it’s time to turn to our wardrobes for a mood-boosting hit of colour amidst all the grey. Unlike in past seasons, where quiet luxury’s muted colour palette of black, beige and white claimed the spotlight, right now we’re seeing a more retro paring come to the fore: brown and pink.

On the autumn/winter 2025 runways, soft pinks were teamed with deep browns in a variety of ways. At Fendi it was all about delicate, lingerie-inspired pieces paired with Hollywood starlet-coded faux-furs. Meanwhile at Tory Burch, the mood was more pared-back, with tailored brown jackets layered over ankle-grazing silken maxi skirts in faded pastel hues. And of course, Prada weighed in with
