The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is reminding millions of people that they could be entitled to £150 in support this winter through the Warm Home Discount. This one-off discount of £150 is directly applied to the energy bills of those who meet certain criteria.

The scheme aims to assist vulnerable people or those who may struggle to pay their energy bills during the winter months, when these costs typically peak. The government has confirmed that an additional 2.7 million people will be offered the Warm Home Discount this year, as eligibility rules have been relaxed.

Previously, the Warm Home Discount for England and Wales was only available to those receiving the Guarantee Credit of Pension Credit. According to DWP guidelines, you qualify for the Warm Home Discount
