Tupelo Police say a Woodland man has been arrested after an investigation into threats made against a public official in retaliation for actions taken in the official’s line of duty.
According to the department, officers were notified on November 6 about the threats. Following further investigation, 37-year-old Kenneth D. Cousin was arrested in Chickasaw County on a charge of Retaliation Against a Public Servant or Witness and transported to the Lee County Jail.
On Nov. 7, 2025, Lee County Court Judge Spencer ordered Cousin to be held without bond. Police said the case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
No additional details were released to protect the integrity of the investigation and the safety of those involved.
