Brian Walshe , the Cohasset man who allegedly killed and dismembered his wife in 2023, has a hearing on Friday in Norfolk Superior Court to determine whether he’s competent to stand trial, after a violent jailhouse attack in September left him briefly hospitalized.
Walshe , 50, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, disinterring a body, and lying to investigators in the Jan. 1, 2023, slaying of Ana Walshe , 39.
If Judge Diane C. Freniere deems Walshe competent, j ury selection in his murder trial could begin next week, records show.
