The past decade has been one of the best for animated movies and it seems like not enough people are talking about it. While many of the best animated films from the past 10 years aren't blockbuster hits the way many were in the '90s , the level of quality is incredibly high.

Since 2016, we've been treated to animated movies that are great for all audiences, which tell emotional stories, and feature breathtaking visuals thanks to the unique animation styles. Though some of the best are from existing IPs, like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish , there are truly special original animated films as well.
