PORT HURON, MI — As crews near the end of this year’s work on the Blue Water Bridge plaza expansion, motorists in Port Huron can expect brief but notable closures heading into the weekend.
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced Thursday, Nov. 13, that intermittent lane closures will take place Friday, Nov. 14, and Saturday, Nov. 15, on the eastbound I-94 off-ramp to Pine Grove Avenue.
MDOT also plans to fully close 10th Avenue south of Pine Grove Avenue during the same period as contractors complete top-course paving and other finishing work.
MDOT said the closures are necessary to protect workers and drivers during the final steps of component one of the plaza expansion project. That phase includes:
