NEW DELHI: The BJP has gone into celebration mode after its sweeping win in the Bihar Assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking to party workers at the BJP headquarters in the capital, described the outcome as a triumph for democracy. In his address, Modi launched a sharp attack on the Congress, alleging that the party relied on negative politics throughout the Bihar poll campaign.
Modi said the Congress, which blames the voting machines and the Election Commission, has become a burden for other parties. He added that people want development, not controversies, and accused the Congress and Maoists of blocking progress. Modi also said the present Congress is essentially a “Muslim League–Maoist Congress.”
