Northern Kentucky man who lived with wife's corpse for days sentenced to prison

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. —

A Northern Kentucky man who admitted to living with his wife's decaying body for days before calling 911 has been sentenced to prison.

It all unfolded earlier this year on Feb. 3, when Highland Heights police say officers responded to a home in the 300 block of Grey Stable Lane for a report of an unresponsive person.

Officials say arriving officers located a woman, Laura Hern, 37, who had died.

According to police reports, officers found Hern lying on the bed with "obvious signs of decomposition."

Records say Tyler Hern agreed to go to police headquarters for an interview and reportedly told officers that he fou
