Though Delaware is a small state — and ticket prices here are far more affordable than those charged on Broadway or at the Metropolitan Opera — the state’s performing arts scene attracts nationally and globally known names. Its location along the East Coast makes it a popular spot for touring Broadway performances, while Wilmington’s Delaware Theatre Company has a history of developing new shows for Broadway. Well-known actors who have performed on the company’s stage include Harry Hamlin, Michael Learned, Maurice Hines and Stefanie Powers.
