HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Texans backup quarterback Davis Mills will get his second consecutive start Sunday after the team ruled out starter CJ Stroud with a concussion.

Stroud is still recovering after a hard hit and slamming his head on the ground during the Texans' loss to the Denver Broncos.

When asked by reporters on the concussion protocol, Head Coach DeMeco Ryans said that it's a day-to-day process.

That means Mills will engineer the offense versus the Tennessee Titans, who were shut out by the Texans when the teams met earlier in the season.

The Texans enter this weekend's contest 4-5, which means they have an opportunity to get back to .500, despite a slow start.

But as Ryans will tell you, the team isn't worried about the standings.
