Keep private operators out of Sarasota schools
I am opposed to bringing “ Schools of Hope ” charter schools into Sarasota.
If we have low-performing schools in our community, we need to fix them – not let them be taken over by supposedly nonprofit corporations that will be paid by the state.

Richard Corcoran is the current president of New College of Florida, which was for decades a bastion of outstanding liberal humanities education.
