Not many high school football players are into the special team component of the game, but Beachwood High School senior Tristan Brown lives and breathes his role as the Bison’s kicker and punter.

He likes it so much that he wrote a paper for his College Credit Plus class about the mechanics of punting.

“It’s mostly a repetition and consistency component,” Brown told the Cleveland Jewish News. “Muscle memory in kicking is key to everything. The pressure of an in-game scenario isn’t as heavy as it would be if you didn’t know what you were doing or didn’t have the proper mechanics.”
