Now that the federal government has reopened , Alabamians enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can expect full benefits this month.
The Alabama Department of Human Resources said in a press release that they will begin uploading payments onto EBT cards today after receiving guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
“State agencies must take immediate steps to ensure households receive their full November allotments promptly,” the federal guidance said.
DHR said as long as there are no unforeseen issues, benefits should be available today and some people may already see payments on their cards.
Recipients who typically receive their payments on Nov. 14 or later should receive benefits on their regular issuance day this month.
