More than 200 new homes will be built on the site of an old B&Q store after 'hugely important' plans were given the green light by a council.
Planning chiefs in Trafford have rubber-stamped the development for land on Great Stone Road in Stretford , Trafford - next to Old Trafford cricket ground.
The site has had a contentious planning history and was previously subject to a planning appeal in relation to proposals for apartments.
But Trafford Council has now confirmed the latest plans were rubber-stamped by its planning committee at a meeting on Thursday night.
