BROADVIEW, Ill. ( NewsNation ) — Multiple anti-ICE protesters were arrested by police on Friday near a Chicago-area Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility that has remained at the epicenter of clashes been demonstrators and law enforcement in recent months.

Demonstrators left a designated protest zone and entered the roadway leading to the ICE processing center in suburban Broadview and were immediately met by local police officers and Illinois State Police toopers.

Protesters have been demonstrating at the site on Friday mornings for months, demonstrating against the presence of federal immigration officers and agents.
