COVINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One person was killed and another injured in a house fire in Covington early Friday morning, according to reporting from ABC affiliate WCPO.
WCPO reports that Covington Fire Chief Corey Deye said several adults were able to escape the home, but one person died at the scene. Another individual was taken to the hospital with what Deye described as minor injuries.
The station says firefighters were called to the home on Garrard Street around 1:30 a.m. Friday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
