The Steelers signed running back Trey Sermon to the practice squad.

Sermon was originally signed following a tryout during the Steelers rookie minicamp in 2025 and has spent time on the practice squad and 53-man roster this season. He was elevated for the Patriots, Vikings and Colts games and was on the 53-man roster for the Chargers game.

Sermon has appeared in 46 games, starting five, over four seasons. He has carried the ball 134 times for 505 yards and three touchdowns. He spent the last two years with the Indianapolis Colts, appearing in 31 games, with three starts. He had 91 carries for 319 yards and two touchdowns.

He spent the 2022 season with the Philadelphia Eagles and 2021 with the San Francisco 49ers.
