The trial run of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai was completed with an operating speed of 130 kilometres/hour on Friday.
Sources said the train left Ahmedabad at 9:20 am and reached Surat at 11:20 am in just two hours and later made it to Mumbai Central at around 1:30 pm.
In total, this semi-high-speed sleeper train proved its capability in performance by covering the distance from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in about four hours. Friday’s trial was conducted at a maximum speed of 130 kmph, which railway officials said was satisfactory.
The test was conducted with the second rake, which consists of 16 coaches, and is being run in trial mode by the Research Design and Standards Organisation, utilising specially modified bogies. Following the successful trial on N
