The Minnesota Wild‘s centre depth has taken another hit.

Top-line centre Marco Rossi is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury, The Athletic’s Michael Russo reported on Friday.

Russo reported that Rossi has been trying to play through the injury that he initially suffered on Oct. 18 against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Wild are also without centre Nico Strum, who hasn’t played at all this season as he continues rehab from off-season surgery.

Rossi, 24, has four goals and nine assists in 17 games for the Wild this season. He’s coming off his best pro season in 2024-25 when he set career highs in goals (24), assists (36) and points (60).

With Rossi out and Strum not expected back until December, rookie centre Danila Yurov is expected to get an elevated role
