Hadwin entered the week at No. 147 in the FedEx Cup standings; the top 100 after next week’s RSM Classic keep their PGA Tour cards next year. He led Takumi Kanaya by one shot after Thursday’s play in the first round, which concluded on Friday.
Even after his front nine on Friday (he started on No. 10), Hadwin posted three birdies and an eagle on the par-4 sixth to conclude his round.
