New Delhi: Mohun Bagan requested intervention from world governing body FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation on Friday on adjudication of Anwar Ali’s contentious transfer to East Bengal, which has dragged on for 16 months without any resolution in sight in the All India Football Federation’s judicial committees.
In a letter to FIFA secretary general Mattias Grafstrom and his AFC counterpart Datuk Seri Windsor John, Bagan said they are at the receiving end of prejudice arising from delays and stagnation in adjudication of a dispute arising from Ali’s unilateral termination of contract in July 2024.
