MOSCOW, Idaho — It's three years to the day four University of Idaho students were found killed in an off-campus home.

Students made their way to the Vandal healing garden and memorial. Honoring the lives of the four University of Idaho students taken too soon.

The University of Idaho campus was quiet Thursday night.

As students like Coeur d'Alene native freshman Luke Neary gathered at the Vandal Healing Garden to honor the lives of Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle and Kaylee Goncalvez. He says he couldn't believe the news when he first heard it.

"It obviously was just a shock. You know, seeing, you know, this crazy thing happens when Moscow had nothing of the sort. You know, Moscow's not a dangerous town," said Neary.

The four were murdered on Nov. 13, 2022.
