A second development project at Willamette Falls is gearing up, thanks to a massive infusion of public and private money.
Led by former Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, the Willamette Falls Trust has secured $75 million for a major development project at the historic waterfall. The project, which will replace the old Willamette Falls Paper Company in West Linn, is one of three ongoing developments at Willamette Falls, coming to fruition alongside the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s ongoing tumwata village project and the Willamette Falls Locks project, which has yet to get off the ground.
Unlike the other two projects, the Willamette Falls Trust received $45 million in public funding from the Oregon Legislature earlier this year. Brown said the trust has also secured a $25 mill
