NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A man was hospitalized early Friday morning after someone in a ski mask shot him outside a North Charleston strip club.

Police responded just before 3 a.m. Friday to the G-Club, which is listed as an “adult entertainment club,” on the 7200 block of Peppermill Parkway. Officers had received reports of a man being shot.

At the scene, officers found the victim, a 22-year-old man, by the front door of the club with several gunshot wounds.

Two witnesses told police they were about to get in the car with the victim when an unknown person in a ski mask approached and then shot at the group.

The witnesses ran away from the vehicle, but the victim was shot, and the car was also hit by the gunfire a number of times.
