ROCHESTER, Minn.- On Thursday, Nov. 13, members of Minnesota's Democratic Farm Labor Party held a press conference with some of their constituents who had concerns about the future of affordable healthcare options, claiming that legislators in the House and Senate had left out important legislation in the final budget deal to restart the government.

"It wasn't just a missed opportunity, it was a deliberate choice, to not discuss how we could make healthcare more affordable for minnesotans," state Sen. Liz Boldon, a DFL member representing Olmsted County said.

According to state Sen. Carla Nelson, a Republican who represents part of Olmsted and Dodge County, a vote to renew enhanced subsidies for the Affordable Care Act that were put in place in 2021, was delayed as part of the final deal
