Former Cleveland Browns Quarterback Bernie Kosar shared an update Friday after undergoing six procedures at a Cleveland hospital since Sunday for what he described as aggressive bleeding.
Kosar said he was scheduled to have another procedure later on Friday, and had one around 9 a.m., as doctors have been unable to stop the internal bleeding.
"I'm really trying to stay positive and can't thank you all for love and support...," Kosar said, saying that he was overwhelmed by the support from the community.
He closed the message with "You matter, God bless you, let's have a winning day and weekend."
The 61-year-old Kosar was set to receive a liver transplant last weekend, but said on a social media video that it was delayed because the donor's organ was infected.
