Lincoln Fire and Rescue knock down deck fire in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue knocked down a fire at a south Lincoln apartment complex Friday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a deck fire at an apartment complex near 56th Street and Nebraska Parkway at 10:18 a.m. A person in the unit below reported the fire.

LFR spokesperson MJ Lierman said a fire truck nearby arrived and extinguished the blaze from outside.

The resident of the unit on fire was not home when the fire was reported, Lierman said.

No injuries were reported, and only one unit was affected. LFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
