YOUNGSTOWN One of the two men shot at a South Side convenience store over the weekend has died.

Kenny Stanton, 40, was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center after the shooting at Sami Quick Stop on Market Street on Sunday night. He died later according to authorities.

Youngstown police originally responded to the store, located at Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard, at 10:46 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.

Officers found one man lying on the sidewalk and a second inside the store. Both had sustained at least one gunshot wound.

The second victim's identity and current condition have not been released.

Police have not provided any information regarding potential suspects. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
