Several college football coaching jobs have opened in recent weeks and months, and as the season winds down, programs will soon intensify their searches for the next head coach to lead their teams.
On Friday, ahead of Week 12 action, former LSU Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron, who led the program to a national championship in 2019, emerged as a serious candidate for the open Arkansas Razorbacks position. Arkansas parted ways with Sam Pittman earlier this year.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos , Orgeron is “in communication” with the Razorbacks program. In addition to Arkansas, he has also been linked to the open Oregon State Beavers head coaching job.
