FAYETTEVILLE -- A local judge on Friday granted a few motions in the murder case of a Springdale man accused of killing a couple at Devil's Den Park.
Andrew James McGann, 28, is charged with two counts of capital murder. He previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Capital murder, if convicted, is punishable by life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against McGann.
Police say McGann killed Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, of Prairie Grove, while they were hiking with their two daughters on a trail at the park near West Fork on July 26. The girls, who are 7 and 9, were not injured, and are living with family members out of state.
