For Ralph Goodale, Canada's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, global crises aren't abstract concepts; they are the daily agenda.

In an interview from London, Goodale explained that when a hot crisis like the war in Ukraine emerges, diplomatic resources are fine-tuned to manage the most pressing issues first.

"In terms of the agenda, there would not be a day that goes by that we don't have something to deal with in relation to Ukraine, for example," Goodale said.
