Storm Claudia may be battering Birmingham, with trees down and trains cancelled, but the weather hasn’t put people off enjoying a visit to the Frankfurt Christmas market.
The storm is causing travel chaos with a rare amber alert in place after the Met Office warned of a swathe of rain across the Midlands and Wales.
But Birmingham ’s popular Frankfurt Christmas market continues to attract visitors - even if many came armed with an umbrella.
Plenty of people still braved a visit this afternoon to try the delicious food and drink on offer, and were spotted huddled under umbrellas or awnings.
There’s lots of food and drink available to keep warm, from hot chocolate to currywurst along with less traditionally German fare such as crepes and churros.
