The Brockville Braves got their one-goal revenge on the Cornwall Colts Thursday night, taking a 1-0 win in the second game of the 2025-26 season’s Highway 401 rivalry.
The Colts got a 3-2 shootout win in Brockville on Oct. 24 , and the Braves’ offence and defence likely had that top of mind as they travelled to the Ed Lumley Arena Thursday.
To salt the wound for Cornwall, Brockville’s shutout win was on an unassisted goal — Peter Legostaev tapped the puck past Colts goaltender Ryan Velan at 16:41 of the first period. There would be no other scoring in time remaining.
